IT'S RIDIN' TIME!!!

Looking for a great way to kick off the New Year.. have we got something in store for you! Mark your calendars now and make sure you and the family

join us for the annual New Years Ride. December 31st through January 3rd we will host a club ride /campout, which will be held at the ever-popular

Camp Youtaw, located in Suburban Estates. For all non-key holders you MUST contact BJ or Aaron no later than December 21st to let them know you will

be coming and to make arrangements to be brought in the gate. Saturday night we will be having a Potluck Dinner at 5:00 pm and ask that

you please bring your favorite covered dish to share, look for a food sign-up sheet on the club forum. The club will provide the meat, drinks and

all paper products. Sit by the fire and enjoy the company of fellow club members, see who the winner of the T-shirt contest is and maybe win yourself a prize.

Please remember while visiting Camp Youtaw to be respectful of your neighbors.

We are asking that anyone riding their ATV.s in camp, please keep it at an Idle speed.

For safety reasons, please do not allow children to ride around inside camp.

Most important, please clean up after yourself & take all trash home with you.

See you there!!!

Changes for the Coming Year

With many of us feeling the squeeze from the economy and membership being down, we have decided to make a few changes this year. Rather than having an End-of-Year Party as we have in the past and spending all the funds at once, we have decided to spread out the funds and use them on club rides and meetings along with the normal operation expenses. This means being able to host more cookout's at club functions and to be able to continue having items to give for prizes and raffles. We also decided to take this year off from participating in the Christmas Parades, next year we will be right back out there and I hear there is talk of another prize-winning float. The other change you will notice is that the club Newsletter will be sent out quarterly in efforts to cut internet and production cost. We really want to focus on the foundation of this club and that is our monthly rides. Because times are harder this year for so many we will plan to stay close to home which means revisiting the same riding spots. Our goal is to make sure each ride has a little something special. As always we are open to suggestions and comments and look forward to a year full of riding and getting muddy.

MEMBER MEETING

With us having the first ride of the year at CampYoutaw, which as most of you know is located in Suburban Estates, we thought what better place to hold the first meeting of the year. With this being a club ride weekend and the Potluck dinner planned to be held on Saturday, January 2nd we have decided to also have our club meeting then too. Dinner will start at 5pm with the club meeting to follow directly after that. There will be 50/50 tickets selling for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Don't be late!!

HEY "YOUTAW" IT'S TIME TO CLEAN UP

For those of you who haven't heard, there is going to be a ONE day camp clean up on Saturday, December 12th to start at 9 am. Any and all yard tools and

equipment are welcome, our hope is that everyone who uses Camp Youtaw will pitch in and give a hand to clean out the underbrush and trim branches so that we

can get the area nice and refreshed which will open up more areas for camping and parking during club events. A formal survey was done on the property and two new corners have been established, enlarging the land for camping and parking inside Camp Youtaw substantially. We need enough people to come and help do a sweeping clean up of the grounds and branches which will provide us a magnificent place to stay and feel totally safe.

PLEASE.. mark your calendars and come out for the December 12th clean up. All non-key holders will need to contact Mary to set up to be brought in also anyone who has any questions please email Mary Kristeff at mkristeff@gmail.com.

Hope to see you there!!

A WORD ABOUT THE FORUM

If you're thinking about riding this weekend and wondering how you could conveniently locate someone to ride with. Simply log onto the Muddy Waters web site and click the icon labeled forum. Here you can post a message that would be accessible by all. The forum is also a great place to keep in contact with fellow Muddy Water members, find up coming ride locations and directions, items for sale, Muddy Women information or maybe even a good riding story.

DO YOU LOVE TO RIDE??

If you answered yes then you are going to LOVE the month of February. Muddy Waters will be heading to Dozier Alabama to ride with Southern Ridge as they host their Friends

and Family weekend ride, February 12th . 14th. For most this will be a 7-7 ½ hours drive and from someone who has had the privilege to ride here in the past, trust me when I say

it is well worth the trip. Most members will probably head up Thursday after work and with Monday the 15th being Presidents day; it is up to you when you want to return home.

While at Southern Ridge you can explore the miles of pleasure riding trials, mud riding trails, creek riding, mud bog riding, deep water riding, swamp riding areas and the several

mud pits they have to play in. There are restrooms, hot showers and an ATV wash station on site. The park has limited full RV hookup sites at $35.00 per night, if you want to

reserve a spot you must let Bj know ASAP. It will be a first come first serve, primitive camping is also available at no charge. Cost to ride is children 10 and under free and with

everyone else costing $25.00 per person for the weekend. Hotels are located 20 minutes away in Andalusia and I have listed them below for you. Be sure to check the club forum

as members will post who is coming and where they are staying, look forward to seeing you there. Don't forget to check out their web site at www. Southernridgeatvtrails.com.

February 27th we will hold a local ride at either 5A located near 95 in Scotsmore which you can get to by Maytown Rd. or 95 or at Lake Delancy which is located in Ocala. We are

going to take a vote on where you want to go ride at the January meeting and will also post a vote on the club forum. Once the vote is in we will post the ride information on the

club forum no later than January 9th.
