MAKE SURE YOUR LIGHTS WORK

Due to the EXTREME heat we experience in the month of August we have decided to host our monthly club ride during the nighttime hours to try and make the ride a little more enjoyable. We will be leaving from Camp Youtaw which is located inside Suburban Estates at 6:00pm and for those who are non key holders we will do a ONE TIME meet at the gate at 5:00pm sharp to bring you in. Make sure you are on time so that you will not be left behind. The ride is scheduled for the night of August 21st and for anyone having questions regarding the ride or if you need directions please contact BJ at 386-804-9027. We will break the ride up into two groups, one group being the Extreme Riders who will venture into the unknown deep swamp waters, if they can find any and the second being the Normal riders who will ride trails and stop at all the favorite water hole play areas. Be sure to bring plenty of drinks, snacks and DUST MASK!!

How do you enter for a chance to win? It is as simple as emailing me a CLEAR, GOOD QUALITY ATV photo from this year to muddywatersatv@yahoo.com before August 30th. The vote for the winner will be held at the September 1st member meeting and who knows it could be you!!!

TIME TO REVISIT THE PUMPKIN RUN

Held annually the last Saturday in October, the Pumpkin Run which in past years attracts over a thousand riders is an experience like no other. Hosted by The Apollo Motorcycle Club and held on private land located between New Smyrna and Osteen on SR 415 promises to be a  fun filled day. Due to the high cost to ride and limited riding areas during the day we have declined to have our club ride here over the past couple years but. We have been told by Vice President Aaron Kerr who also happens to be a member of Apollo that they are going to bring the cost down to around $25.00 per person and that they are going to open the trails for riding during the day. To ride at this event you MUST pre-register, they will not be allowing anyone onto the property the day of the ride that has not already pre-registered. Look for more information to post on the club forum as it becomes available and watch for registration forms to post on their website, www.apollomotorcycleclub.com around September.

As in the past we do plan to rope off a section where all Muddy Water member's can park together. Please check the club forum for more details and post if you plan to attend. Anyone with questions please contact Aaron at 321-383-3272.

A WORD ABOUT THE FORUM

If you're thinking about riding this weekend and wondering how you could conveniently locate someone to ride with. Simply log onto the Muddy Waters web site and click the icon labeled forum. Here you can post a message that would be accessible by all. The forum is also a great place to keep in contact with fellow muddy water members, find up coming ride locations and directions, items for sale, Muddy Women information or maybe even a good riding story.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!

With the exception of last year for the past four years members of Muddy Waters have been taken great pride decorating their ATV's to participate in two local Christmas Parades. Normally held on the first Saturday of December we plan to once again participate in both the Mim's and Sanford Christmas Parades. All ATV's, Side by Sides and Golf Carts must be decorated preferably with lights as the Sanford Parade is at night. Trust me when I say, this is an experience like no other. One thing we do need you to think about and give us feedback on is if you want to volunteer to build a float for the parade. It would give us that little something something that could bring home 1st place for us!!! Many thanks to Mary Kristeff and her fabulous team, Andy & Harvey for their continuous leadership and many hours of hard work they devote each year. We could not do this without you. Be sure to stay posted to the club forum as additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

TIME TO GET YOUR GROVE ON!!!

What better way to enjoy the beautiful Fall weather than to combine our monthly club ride with our End-of-Year Party and make a weekend out of it. Make plans to join us the weekend of November 12th-14th for what promises to be a great time full of awesome moments. The club will provide dinner on the 13th along with a few surprises. Look for more information to be posted on the club forum as time gets closer. We look forward to seeing youthere!!
