June 4th,
2006 - Cleanup event
at Suburban Estates
sponsored by Muddy
Waters MWAA members all joined together on Sunday, June 4th to help
cleanup a favorite riding place where many members own pieces of property. Muddy Waters
aims to keep
our ATV riding areas beautiful. The day turned out to be a great community effort. Within
a few hours time, Muddy Waters was able to make significant improvements to
the dirt parking area and main trail, filling up all of the 200 supplied
trash bags. After the hard work of cleanup, members were treated to a lunch
provided by MWAA. After lunch, members continued the fun by riding the ever
popular trails of Suburban Estates. Many thanks to club members Bobby &
Janet Jansen for letting the club use their property for the event setup.
Lots of FOOD
provided by Muddy Waters for all members participating in the cleanup
effort.
Many members brought out devices to
aid in picking up trash. This ATV has a pull behind cart for large trash
items to be placed and transported to the trash collection area.
Members gathered around fans run by a generator to cool
off after the cleanup was complete.
The hot dog cooker was a
popular place to hang around waiting the next batch of hot dogs to come out.
Club President BJ Johnson (in camo hat) attends to the hot dog cooker.
Many thanks to all members who participated in the cleanup
effort at Suburban Estates. It is important to Muddy Waters ATV Association
to keep clean riding locations and show respect for the environment we ride
in.
